Cloud Accounting
What is cloud accounting?
Cloud accounting is the practice of using an accounting system that is accessed using the internet.
Some accounting systems just operate on one computer. These are called 'desktop accounting systems' and are often cumbersome and inefficient.
The client needs to download or backup this data and send the data on a USB stick or CD ROM to the accountant.
This data is then uploaded into the accountant's computer.
Now the accounting records are on two different computers that are not linked to each other.
It is time-consuming and prone to errors.
Cloud accounting provides efficiency, convenience and simplicity.
The system is internet-based, so that both you and Westcott Accounting can access your financial records on the one database - in real time, in any place and on any device that has an internet connection using an app or web browser.
You now no longer have to rely on a single desk top computer to access your accounting records.
We service both our country and interstate clients using cloud accounting.
Westcott Accounting use Xero as the preferred cloud based accounting and taxation software.
We are also highly experienced using the cloud and desktop versions of MYOB and Reckon.
